If the Guest Network feature is important for you.you might want to ask your Internet Service Provider for a simple modem.not a modem/router or gateway device. Unfortunately, the Guest Network feature cannot operate correctly with the AirPort in Bridge Mode.yet Bridge Mode is the correct setting for the AirPort to work with your modem/router or gateway. Since you have two routers trying to provide NAT services, you have a Double NAT error, which you want to avoid on a network if possible. Routers provide a service known as NAT which involves sharing a single Internet connection with multiple devices on the network. If the Airport is not in Bridge Mode.you wind up with two devices both trying to act as routers on the network.a sure recipe for conflicts and problems. When you have another router "upstream" on the network the AirPort needs to be configured to operate in Bridge Mode to function correctly on the network. Your Ruckus MM2211 is not a simple is a modem/router or gateway type of device that combines the functions of a separate modem and router all in one package. PS- security between the 2 networks is the most important thing, the primary network is a personal network and the guest network is to be for customers. So is Double NAT a bad thing? Is there some other setting change I can make to allow the express to work in bridge mode if thats the requirement but allow the guest network to work? The other issue is that on the Mac airport utility main screen the small light on the bottom left is blinking yellow and there is a big red circle to the right with a #1 in it, when I open it up it says" status = Double NAT, I am assuming this is whats causing the blinking yellow lite. There are 2 issues, the first is that I previously read on the support community site that at least 1 device must be in bridge mode ( I only have 2 devices, the express & the modem which is never left in bridge mode per the ISP provider here). On my Mac Airport utility when I change the express network setting from "bridge' mode to 'DHCP and NAT' mode then wireless devices can connect to the guest network. The main network works fine, however in guest mode other wireless devices cannot connect to that password protected network, they look for a IP address but are not getting one. Trying to setup my Airport Express A1392 for guest mode, currently is connected to ISP provided Ruckus MM2211 modem. A Newbie & non-technical person here with a question.
